NIMH Eating Disorders and Treatment →

This is an article I was reading from the National Institute of Mental health about eating disorders, trying to determine just what exactly is the best treatment for those such as me who have suffered chronically from disordered eating. The article says “Specific forms of psychotherapy, or talk therapy, and medica-tion are effective for many eating disorders. However, in more chronic cases, specific treatments have not yet been identified” and “Unfortunately, no specific psychotherapy appears to be consistently effective for treating adults with anorexia nervosa”. There REALLY needs to be more (or…different?) research into this…
I got a Nook and the ebook of Wintegirls to read. I'm excited.
